"All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died" (Gen 7:22)
The millions who were outside Noah's ark would have struggled and tried to lift themselves up out of the waters. But the more they tried, the deeper they would have plunged into the waters. Many vainly try to lift themselves up or save themselves with their own efforts, but in the end they find themselves in the depths of the 'horrible pit' and 'miry clay'.
Jesus said, "Without Me ye can do nothing" (Jn 15:5). Jesus is the universal panacea for life's problems. He is the only source of true and lasting peace, joy and rest. Child of God, would you be saved from your sins, from your sickness, from your burdens that are weighing you down, and from your problems that seem to be mounting? Come to the Ark.
Come to Jesus while He is calling. Come before it is too late. "The longsuffering of God waited while the ark was a preparing"; once the door was shut, it was too late to be saved. Dear reader, you are in the Period of Grace now. Soon the door of grace will be shut. "Seek ye the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near."
