KEEP COOL!!!

"Therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him" (Esth 1:12).

"Anger burned in him." Anger burns with the fire of hell. The king's anger here ended in deep distress and divorce, If you are an angry man you are digging your own pit of hell with your spirit of anger.

Jesus is called a Lamb. A lamb, as you know, is meek and gentle. The Holy Spirit is called a Dove. The dove is also meek and gentle. If that is so, the Father too must be meek and gentle.

Once a child of God was pacing up and down a street. He was thinking of a person who had offended him. As he kept thinking, he was getting angrier and angrier. The very thought of the matter made his blood boil. Suddenly he noticed a vehicle passing by on the street. It was a white van, and on it, in big letters, were the words "KEEP COOL". And here he was, boiling inside and getting hotter and hotter! The passing van was like a messenger from heaven telling him to cool down. The vehicle happened to be only an ice cream van, but the message was clear to him. It greatly helped him to repent of his anger, and by the grace of God he was able to get completely delivered from that destructive spirit of anger.

"Thy gentleness hath made me great." If you are a hot-tempered man, repent and come to the Lord - so that He can make you a saint of a meek and gentle spirit.
