Brother Gunasekaran spoke on the sufferings of CHRIST which, he said can be divided into FOUR PARTS:FIRST, His suffering in Gethsamane:
In order to fulfill GOD's will in His life, CHRIST had to suffer alone at the Garden of Gethsamane. Similarly, even in our life, sometimes we have to suffer alone for God's will to be perfected in our lives. "Let people mock at me, jibe at me, or even ridicule me, but i am sure that these are needed for me to get the blessings of my God.. This should be our attitude towards suffering," he said.
SECOND, The suffering that HE endured in HIS Mind:
Pilate reproached Him, and likewise the soldiers and the Jews and the wayfarers too despised Him. Even we may be going through these paths. But dont worry. These are the will of God for you. It is already written about us in the Volume of the Books. "Not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake."
THIRD,The suffering that HE endured in HIS Body:
You must yield your body for suffering. It is easy for us to stand for Divine Healing and boast about it. Only when real trials come, we can see where we stand. He quoted the example of a believer who stood firm for the gospel for fifteen long years in Divine Healing, but when a small wound came in his leg, he waited for three long days in Divine Healing, but after that he went to the doc, saying "i cant bear to see my leg being amputated."
FOURTH, The suffering that He endured in HIS Spirit:
How many of us yield ourselves to failure. Everyone of us would like to win by some means or the other. None among us would like to be termed a failure. But tat's not so. We must allow men to count us as failures. Cos,
"the failure that we face before men is the Victory that we receive in the Lord. We may be judged unrighteously by all and sundry, but yet, we should yield ourselves to that. Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego yielded themselves to the fiery furnace. People might have ridiculed them, scorned them etc. But still, they submitterd themselves to failure. But did God leave them at that? No... Only in our failure will the Lord redeem us and give us VICTORY...! AMEN."
He ended the WORD OF GOD with the lovli Malayalam hymn, "En Deivame, Nin ishtam cheikuvan...Ende ishtam onnum venna Priyane.. Ninde ishtam ennil purnamakkane..."
YES LORD, LET THY WILL ALONE BE DONE IN MY LIFE... AMEN..!
The message touched me and encouraged me to focus on the will of the our God, rather than the world's opinion or my will. The malayalam song (which I already know)also touched me. I am also a TPM believer (Tondiarpet). I praise God for the fellowship that he has given us
